Data Architect (Databricks)

An enterprise-scale transformation programme is seeking a Data Architect to own and define the end-to-end data architecture across core insurance and enterprise platforms. This role will lead the design of target-state data models, migration architecture, and governance frameworks, with Databricks at the centre of the data and analytics strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Define and own enterprise data architecture across core policy systems and analytics platforms
• Design target-state data models, integration patterns, and ingestion frameworks
• Lead data migration strategy, enabling parallel running between legacy and new platforms
• Establish data governance, quality, and regulatory alignment
• Ensure architectural consistency with enterprise standards and programme objectives

Required Experience:

• Strong enterprise data architecture background
• Experience with insurance data models and integrations
• Databricks / Lakehouse architecture expertise
• Cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure)
• Advanced data modelling and migration strategy experience
• Strong understanding of data governance and regulatory requirements
